Dog & Dome was set up in Spring 2019 by Mother and Daughter duo Catriona Hall and Flora Woodruff. Catriona is a well-known artist whose primitive, fat and folky animals grace the walls of many homes both in the UK and further afield. She exhibits annually at Chatsworth and her work is dotted around the country in various galleries.
Business meetings take place in Catriona’s kitchen in the Peak District or coffee shops in Marlow, where Flora is based. Catriona paints the original pictures with an earthy palette, whilst Flora uses her creative skills to take particular elements of the originals, adding patterns to come up with newly formed artwork to specifically fit the three dimensional products.
Our base is in rural Derbyshire, in the Peak District National Park which provides us with our inspiration for the designs. Nearby we are able to tap into the expertise of the area’s longstanding cotton and silk industries, so we are able to source the materials for our goods within a 40-mile radius and are proud to support local British businesses. We liaise directly with these local suppliers and build relationships with them to ensure the best quality products. We believe in using ethically sourced, sustainable materials, so all our paper products are produced from recycled paper and our packaging is eco-friendly to have as little adverse effect on the environment as possible.
We hope that you enjoy browsing our site and we look forward to enhancing your homes with a bit of fun and colour in the form of portly creatures.
